Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR & EAR) Course
This course provides the skills required to perform the techniques of CPR and EAR, which are required to maintain life in an unconscious person.
Course Details
Code: CPR
Course Fee: $45/person Minimum 10 participants
Duration: approximately 4 hours
Format: A mixture of theoretical and practical elements.
Assessment will be based on assessment of the competencies will be conducted throughout the course and a written exam
Qualifications Issued: This course is valid throughout Australia and on successful completion the student receives a Statement of Attainment Certificate in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation which is valid for one year as per the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines and Policy Statements.
Mountain Bike Leaders Course
This fully comprehensive course is aimed at those in the industry who wish to achieve competency through recognised prior learning (RPL). It would not suit those who have no experience in MTB leadership nor those with limited riding skills.
Those joining the course would be expected to have extensive MTB experience in a variety of conditions and terrain, as well as some experience in road riding and/or touring, at least 10 days in the field on MTB related activities as either a leader or assistant and general experience as leaders or assistants in the outdoor industry.

Course Fee: $395/person Minimum 5 participants
Duration: The course will be three days in length
Format: A mixture of theoretical and practical elements.
Assessment will be based on the following;
1. Progressive assessment of the competencies will be conducted throughout the course.
2. A written exam.
3. Provision of a log book that satisfies the examiners of your prior experience and skills*.
*Please note that those working their way through a full Certifciate Level 1V in Outdoor Recreation will have covered many of the co-requisite units on other courses. You will be required to provide documentation as part of your log book for those units.
Qualifications Issued: This course is valid throughout Australia and on successful completion the student receives a Statement of Attainment as partial completion of the Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation SO03 plus a certificate in Mountain Bike Leadership through The Safety Network.

Cross Country Ski Tour Leaders Course
This fully comprehensive course is aimed at those in the industry who wish to achieve competency through recognised prior learning (RPL). It would not suit those who have no experience in Cross Country leadership nor those with limited skiing skills.
Those joining the course would be expected to have extensive XC skiing experience in a variety of conditions and terrain, including extended overnight trips, and both classical, skating and general ski touring skills, at least 10 days in the field on cross country ski related activities as either a leader or assistant and general experience as leaders or assistants in the outdoor industry.

Course Fee: $595/person Minimum 5 participants
Duration: The course will be five days in length
Location: Snowy Mountains
Format: A mixture of theoretical and practical elements.
Assessment will be based on the following;
1. Progressive assessment of the competencies will be conducted throughout the course.
2. A written exam
3. Provision of a log book that satisfies the examiners of your prior experience and skills*.
